A stretch ceiling consists of a membrane and profiles that hold it around the perimeter and form details such as light lines, curtain niches, shadow gaps and changes of level.

The membrane can be PVC or fabric. Its fixing depends on the system: a harpoon system receives a rigid edge welded to the membrane, while a clip system clamps the membrane in the profile. The profile section also determines the geometry of wall junctions, joints and corners, so the profile must be chosen before the membrane is cut.

Alumineu aluminium profiles are made from EN AW-6063 T5 alloy. The range is organised by purpose: CLASSIX for a classic wall finish, INVISIA for shadow gaps, LIGHTRA for light lines and CURTINA for curtain niches. Separate series cover two-level ceilings, ventilation and other details.

Choose profiles together with compatible corners, inserts and fixings. Dimensions and kit contents are listed on each product page. Read more about the two fixing methods in Harpoon vs clip.

Frequently asked questions

Can a timber batten replace the aluminium profile? Not in Alumineu systems: membrane seating and the geometry of the detail are designed for a specific aluminium profile.

Where should the selection start? Define the required detail first: wall finish, shadow gap, niche, light line, ventilation or a change of level. Then choose the fixing system and check component compatibility.
