A light line is an illuminated strip within the surface of a stretch ceiling. It consists of an aluminium profile, an LED strip and a diffuser.
The profile separates sections of membrane, holds their edges and supports the LED strip. The diffuser covers the strip and makes the light along the strip more even. LIGHTRA uses harpoon fixing for PVC membranes; clip-based systems are also available.
A light line differs from an illuminated shadow gap. The line crosses the ceiling surface, while perimeter lighting sits in a reveal at the wall. FLOATIA is designed for the latter. See the full comparison in Light line or LED shadow gap.
Plan the route, joints, turns, electrical connection and service access before installation. Select the profile width, compatible diffusers and ready-made corners for the specific model. A light diffuser should not be confused with a slot air diffuser: these components serve different purposes.

Frequently asked questions
What makes up a light line? A profile, an LED strip and a diffuser. The membrane is fixed to the profile of the selected system.
Can a lighting profile be used for ventilation? No. Air supply or extraction requires a ventilation profile and the appropriate slot air diffuser.
