A decorative insert conceals the membrane fixing, while a shadow-gap profile leaves an even reveal at the wall. These are different details, selected before the membrane is cut.
A classic junction with an insert suits projects that need a familiar closed perimeter. The insert hides the fixing and minor line irregularities. It is colour-matched and can be replaced when the membrane is refitted.
Choose a shadow gap when the ceiling should appear separate from the wall without a visible insert. This detail demands more accurate setting out and profile installation, because an uneven line is immediately visible in the reveal. INVISIA is designed for this application. See What is a shadow gap.
Removing an insert does not turn a classic detail into a shadow gap. A different profile and a recalculated membrane are required. FLOATIA adds an LED strip to the shadow perimeter and cannot be replaced by standard INVISIA.
ENDCAPP products are end caps and closure pieces. They close profile ends but replace neither the decorative insert of a classic junction nor a shadow-gap profile.

Frequently asked questions
Can decorative tape cover a shadow gap? That requires a different profile. In a shadow-gap detail, the reveal itself is the finish.
Which detail is easier to install? A classic junction tolerates minor line deviations better. A shadow gap requires particularly accurate profile installation.
Does INVISIA replace ENDCAPP? No. INVISIA forms the wall junction, while ENDCAPP closes the ends of compatible profiles.
